Tommaso e Luca sono grandi amici. Vivono nello stesso quartiere e vanno nella stessa scuola. Un giorno, Tommaso nota che Luca sembra molto stanco. Ha occhiaie profonde e sembra debole. Tommaso gli chiede: “Luca, stai bene? Sembri molto stanco.”

The Neighborhood Vampire
Tommaso and Luca are great friends. They live in the same neighborhood and go to the same school. One day, Tommaso notices that Luca looks very tired. He has dark circles under his eyes and seems weak. Tommaso asks him, “Luca, are you okay? You look very tired.”
Luca responds, “I don’t know, I always feel tired and I can’t sleep well.”

Tommaso starts thinking about vampire stories he has read in books. He tells his friends at school about the marks on Luca’s neck and his tiredness. Soon, everyone starts talking about a vampire in the neighborhood. Some kids say they have seen strange shadows at night and heard unsettling noises.
Tommaso and his friends decide to investigate. In the evening, they hide in Luca’s garden to see if they discover anything strange. They only hear the rustling of leaves and the usual night noises. They don’t see any vampire.
The next day, Tommaso decides to talk to Luca’s mother. He tells her about the marks on Luca’s neck and his friend’s tiredness. Luca’s mother smiles and says, “I think I know what’s going on.”
Luca’s mother takes Tommaso to Luca’s room. “Look at Luca’s new pillow,” she says. Tommaso sees a red, soft pillow on the bed. The mother continues, “Luca bought this pillow last week. I think he’s allergic to the material of the pillow.”
Luca’s mother takes the pillow to the doctor, who confirms the allergy. “Luca, you have to stop using this pillow,” says the doctor. “That’s why you have those red marks on your neck and why you’re so tired.”
